Forest Bathing

We are returning to in-person monthly forest bathing events in September 2021. During the pandemic, Rev. Kimberly Wootan continued to offer forest bathing videos to residents online and through Channel 919.

Forest Bathing was  birthed out of the Japanese Shinto tradition. It is a way to connect to nature using different guided method of communion. Research has shown that it is just as beneficial to see pictures of trees  (or videos) as to be in the forest. Both methods lower heart rates and help us take deeper breaths which promote wellbeing.

So if you are not able to begin forest bathing again in person, these videos that Kimberly has made can still be of benefit to your spiritual and emotional health.
